Oil jumps $4 after Sana’a’s latest attacks against Saudi Arabia

Brent crude prices jumped today, Thursday, by about four dollars per barrel, after Sana’a forces announced the execution of a wide-scale preemptive operation targeting Saudi mobilizations with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones in the Al-Tuwal area of Jizan.

According to market data, Brent crude rose to levels exceeding $107 per barrel, its highest level in weeks, amid renewed fears of disruption to global energy supplies.

This sharp rise comes after Sana’a forces announced that the operation targeted operations and command and control rooms, weapons depots, and missile launch sites in the Al-Daghareer camp and several camps in Jizan, resulting in the death and injury of hundreds of coalition mobilizations and the destruction of weapons depots.

The rise also comes after reports of targeting the Aramco company in Yanbu.

This increase reflects the market’s sensitivity to any escalation in the region, especially with the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the naval blockade on Saudi navigation, and the decline of global strategic stockpiles to their lowest levels.
