Israeli artillery shelling resumed on several areas in southern Lebanon on Thursday, coinciding with low-altitude flights by Israeli drones over the city of Tyre and its surroundings.
The National News Agency (NNA), Lebanon’s official news agency, reported that the shelling targeted the town of Mansouri in the South Governorate in the morning, before later extending to Wadi Zibqin in the Nabatieh Governorate.
The areas surrounding the towns of Haddatha and Baraachit, as well as Wadi Zibqin, were subjected to Israeli shelling at dawn. Haddatha was later targeted by artillery fire, accompanied by heavy machine gun fire directed at the town.
The NNA also reported low-altitude flights by Israeli drones over the city of Tyre and its surroundings, without providing further details.
Since March 2, Israel has been launching attacks on Lebanon, which, according to Lebanese authorities, have resulted in the deaths of at least 4,386 people and injuries to 12,413 others, in addition to the displacement of more than one million people.
