Mass grave: Resistance security investigations uncover new crimes in Gaza

The “Deterrence” Force, affiliated with the resistance security forces in the Gaza Strip, stated that the interrogation of the wife of a member of a collaborating gang, who recently fled from the camp of collaborator Ashraf al-Mansi in the northern Gaza Strip, revealed information about a mass grave located behind the al-Shuqairi School, near the Beit Hanoun hamlet.

According to the force’s statement, the collaborator’s wife confirmed the existence of the mass grave, stating that she saw approximately 15 bodies inside, belonging to young men from Bedouin families in the northern Gaza Strip.

The force added that this statement corroborates what it described as confirmed information regarding Ashraf al-Mansi concealing the fate of a number of Bedouin youths following the violent clashes that erupted between the gang and Bedouin families in August 2016. The information in the statement raises questions about the fate of the young men believed to be buried in the mass grave and the circumstances surrounding their deaths, especially given the force’s statement that the fate of several other Bedouin family members remains unknown after the confrontations. These developments come in the wake of clashes in northern Gaza last August between the gang and Bedouin families, which information in the “Deterrence” force’s statement indicates are related to the case of the young men whose fate remains unknown.
