Israeli attacks on populated residential homes in the Gaza Strip continued, and other attacks, in violation of the ceasefire agreement, targeted several areas both inside and outside the “Yellow Line,” resulting in new casualties. Meanwhile, the occupation forces expanded their control by pushing back the “Yellow Line” to seize more territory in the eastern part of Gaza City.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that hospitals in the Strip received three martyrs and 17 wounded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims since the ceasefire agreement came into effect to 1,501 martyrs and 5,323 wounded, in addition to 838 bodies recovered.
The ministry stated that the cumulative toll of the war of extermination since October 7, 2023, has reached 74,392 martyrs and 175,440 wounded.
Deadly Attacks
In detail, Ms. Reem Awad was killed and others were critically wounded when Israeli warplanes targeted a residential apartment in western Gaza City.
Muhammad Fawzi al-Jamla also succumbed to wounds he sustained days earlier in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood south of the city. Meanwhile, occupation forces continued their artillery bombardment and heavy gunfire towards the eastern areas of the city, specifically the al-Tuffah and al-Shuja’iyya neighborhoods, most of which lie beyond the “Yellow Line.”
Gunfire also targeted the al-Daraj neighborhood and other areas, including al-Sahaba, as a result of attacks by military vehicles deployed near the “Yellow Line.”
The occupation army further expanded its control by extending the “Yellow Line” in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, reaching close to Salah al-Din Street. This follows a similar expansion of the line in the neighboring al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood a few days prior, forcing many families living in tents near the area to flee to other areas in the central and western parts of the city. This line, which Israel draws with yellow cubes, is where its forces extend their control over large parts of the Gaza Strip, starting with the control a year ago over an area of 53% of the Gaza Strip, and gradually extending until it has now reached an area estimated at 70% of the area of the Strip.
