Sana’a Military Media broadcast documentary scenes of the wreckage of the Saudi armed reconnaissance aircraft of the Chinese-made “Wing Loong II” type, following the success of the air defenses in downing it with an “appropriate weapon” in the airspace of Taiz Governorate.
Sana’a — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The filmed scenes showed the scattering of the parts of the aircraft and its monitoring and armament systems at the crash site, and it is the tenth aircraft of this advanced type, and the 28th in general, that Sana’a’s defenses succeeded in destroying and downing during the period extending between July and November 2026.

Observers and military analysts believe that the documents of the Military Media confirm the strategic shift in the equation of protecting Yemeni airspace; as the neutralization of a combat aircraft of the size of the “Wing Loong 2” — whose payload reaches 480 kg and whose cost exceeds two million dollars — reveals the aerial exposure of the Saudi regime and its failure to impose technological superiority before the development of the Yemeni interception systems.
This field achievement also comes to strengthen the equation of “escalation for escalation,” in parallel with the continuation of the missile strikes that hit the Saudi depth and the gatherings of its forces on the various lines of contact, stressing that “Yemen’s sky has become forbidden to the enemy fighter jets and drones.”
