UN Role on Yemen “Useless” if War and Blockade not Ended: Al-Houthi

Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC), the highest ruling authority in Sana’a, described the UN Security Council session on Yemen, scheduled for Thursday, as futile if the country’s humanitarian crisis is not ended.

Mohammed al-Houthi said on Twitter: “At today’s Security Council meeting, the killers of the Yemeni people will be praised for the (aggression) and the US-British-Saudi-UAE blockade by justifying the entry of oil derivatives ships, and the besieged one will be condemned and criminalized.”

“Any meeting that does not end the worst humanitarian crisis, and does not criminalize the perpetrators of this terrorism, is a futile and useless meeting,” he added.
