Sana’a Holds IMO Humanitarian Responsibility for Illegal Immigrants

The National Committee for Refugees in Sana’a discussed on Saturday the repercussions of the flow of illegal immigrants to Yemen.

The committee, in a meeting, chaired by deputy foreign minister Hussein Al-Ezzi, touched on the ongoing arrangements, in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), to return the Ethiopian migrants to their countries safely.

The meeting stressed the importance of taking the humanitarian responsibility and legal requirements by the IOM and all its relevant humanitarian offices and programs in providing the necessary conditions and capabilities to support the return of illegal immigrants to their countries, especially in light of the repercussions of the war and the siege imposed on Yemen.
