Hadramout: Protests Condemn Rising Fuel Prices

Dozens of citizens demonstrated on Sunday in Mukalla city, the capital of Hadramout province, southern Yemen, to protest against the increase in the fuel prices.

According to local sources, the angry protesters cut off the main roads in the city and set tires on fire, protesting against the rise in the oil derivatives prices.

This came after the Petroleum Company in Hadramout, controlled by Saudi-led coalition, approved a new increase reached 20% in benzene and diesel prices as of Saturday, July 24, about 100 riyals per liter up to 600 riyals.
