Saudi Coalition Delays Release of Emergency Gasoline Ship: YPC

The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) on Tuesday confirmed that the Saudi-Emirati coalition continues to detain the emergency gasoline ship and is delaying its release.

The company’s official spokesman, Issam Al-Mutawakel, said in a statement, that the Saudi coalition, by its delay in releasing the “Caesar” gasoline ship, is ignoring all calls to neutralize the humanitarian file and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people who are experiencing the largest humanitarian crisis in full view of the United Nations and the world.

It is noteworthy that the YPC had previously received information that the Saudi-led coalition had agreed to release two ships, one of which was the “Caesar.” Until this moment, the ship had not moved from the detention area to the port of Hodeida, despite obtaining prior permits from the UN Verification and Inspection Committee.
