Civil Aviation Denies Landing of Commercial Plane at Sana’a Airport

The official spokesman for the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Mazen Ghanem, on Monday denied the authenticity of the circulating news about the landing of the first commercial airliner to transport passengers at Sana’a International Airport.

“We are waiting for the mechanism for operating Sana’a International Airport,” Ghanem said in a statement to Sana’a-based Yemeni News Agency (Saba).

He stressed that the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology is the competent authority that will announce the first landing flight to transport citizens, calling not to be drawn into rumors.
