Several people were killed and injured after a tanker loaded with petrol exploded in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, local sources told YPA.
According to the sources, the tanker exploded suddenly as it was passing through the Naqeel Al-Araqoub, east of the city of Shuqrah, south of Khanfar district, leaving casualties.
The sources did not rule out that the explosion was caused by an attack on the locomotive, especially since the province is experiencing tension between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Islah forces.
