The tribes of Mahra province announced on Sunday mobilizations against the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia threat, that seeks to attack and control the province.
The tribal sheikhs said they are fully prepared to defend their areas from the STC’s l forces.
They affirmed their full support for the head of the peaceful sit-in committee, Ali Salem al-Huraizi, and their solidarity with him in the face of the campaign launched by Saudis and Emiratis against him, which aimed to control the strategic province.
Al-Huraizi had responded to the incitement of Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, the head of the STC against Mahra in which he says that the province is witnessing mobilizations for the Islah Party.
“Al-Zubaidi is just a director of a security company with the UAE and Saudi Arabia, just mercenaries that we say with a full mouth… We didn’t choose al-Zubaidi as our president, and he doesn’t represent us and we don’t recognize him, ” Ali Salem al-Huraizi said.
