US Talks about Paying Salaries to Expand Truce in Yemen

The US Department of State said in a brief statement that US envoy to Yemen Tim Lenderking had found support from all his counterparts in the region for an expanded armistice agreement.

“The expanded truce agreement will includes paying civil servants, improving freedom of movement through road openings, moving fuel quickly through the ports, and expanding commercial flights from Sanaa airport,” the Department of State said.

The United States of America announced joint moves with the Gulf countries to help Yemenis.

According to the statement, Steven H. Fagin, the US ambassador to Yemen and Tim Lenderking met with Dr Nayef Falah al Hajraf, Secretary General of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), during which they discussed the importance of the joint efforts of the GCC countries to relief Yemenis.
