Al-Ezzi: Mutual Visits Between Sana’a and Riyadh Enhance Confidence-Building

Deputy Foreign Minister of Sana’a government, Hussein Al-Ezzi said that the mutual visits between Sana’a and Riyadh come within the humanitarian efforts to release prisoners from both sides and on order to Enhance confidence-building between the two sides.

Al-Ezzi said in Twitter, “These mutual visits between Sana’a and Riyadh come in the context of our leadership’s keenness to make the efforts and endeavors to release prisoners from both sides a success. Enhancing confidence-building to cross towards sustainable peace.”

In the meantime, Head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs in Sana’a, Abdulqader Al-Murtadha, published the first pictures of the Sanaa delegation visiting Riyadh among the Yemeni prisoners of war in Saudi prisons.

Al-Murtadha, explained that the purpose of the Saudi delegation’s visit is to see the conditions of their prisoners in Sana’a custody, and also to match and verify the names in reality, in order to prepare for an exchange process in the near future, according to the UN-brokered agreement that was signed last March.

He expressed his hope that these mutual visits would be a gateway to reach a comprehensive solution to this humanitarian file.
