Sana’a forces thwarted on Sunday an infiltration attempt carried out by Islah Party militants in the city of Taiz.
The sources confirmed that the Sana’a forces were able to repel the attack and forced the Islah armed groups backed by the Saudi-led coalition to flee towards their positions in Osayfara area.
According to the sources, the coalition forces bombed residential neighborhoods east of Taiz with artillery after the failed infiltration operation.
It comes one day after the failure of UAE-funded armed groups from the so-called “Fourth Brigade Hazm” led by Brigadier General “Wafi Al-Ghabes” to launch large-scale advances from their positions in Tur Al-Baha area, north of Lahj province, towards the sites of Sanaa forces in “Al-Dhobab” area of Haifan district of Taiz.
