In an apparent attempt to blow up the situation there, the US has intensified its military movements along the northern border of Yemen.
Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni / Sana’a:
Shortly after his return from the US, where he participated in meetings with American military leaders for over two weeks, Major General Saghir Bin Aziz, the Chief of Staff of the Maeen’s Forces, continued his visits to the surrounding areas in the province of Sa’ada, the main stronghold of Ansar Allah leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi.
Bin Aziz arrived at the Alab border axis between Asir Saudi Arabia and Sa’ada one day after visiting the US-backed coalition factions at the borders of Hajjah and Sa’ada provinces with Jizan.
During the past few days, Bin Aziz conducted shuttle visits to the factions stationed on this front, surrounding the most important border provinces in the north. These are the first visits he has had since being appointed Chief of Staff by an American decision.
Bin Aziz did not hide the existence of a tendency to blow up the situation militarily, as a faction known as the “Alab Axis” called for raising combat readiness, similar to what is known as the “Fifth Region” in Hajjah, which he visited two days ago.
Bin Aziz’s field movements coincide with intensive meetings held by Tariq Saleh, leading the so-called “Border Guard Forces,” directly overseen by the US Defense Department.
These movements come on the eve of a US confirmation of escalating concerns about Sanaa’s entering the front line in the occupied territories.
The US Defense Department announced that it had intercepted an attack using ballistic missiles and drones that were traveling towards Israel, which reportedly caused increased concern for the US administration, according to The Washington Post.
The newspaper reported that concerns are growing about the possibility of Sanaa forces using the “Tofan” missile, which was showcased a few days ago on the “Al-Aqsa flood.” Its range reaches approximately 1,950 kilometers, which is sufficient to strike the Israeli deep, as Yemen is only 1,500 kilometers away.
These developments indicate that the US has begun arranging for a military escalation in Yemen in an effort to keep Sana’a out of the nation’s wide battle in the occupied territories.
