Sana’a Communications denies the validity of submarine cable targeting

The Ministry of Communications in the Sana’a government denied on Tuesday the validity of the claims circulated by the Zionist enemy’s media regarding the targeting of a number of submarine cables in the Red Sea last Saturday, emphasizing Sana’a’s keenness to spare communications cables any risks.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

In a statement, the ministry affirmed its “commitment to Yemen’s general stance regarding submarine cables, as stated in the recent speech of the commander,” in which he stated that submarine cables are far from military operations and are not within the scope of targeting.

The ministry stated that the “decision to prevent the passage of Israeli ships does not apply to ships belonging to international companies licensed to carry out maritime cable works in Yemeni waters,” confirming the role of the Ministry of Communications in Sana’a “in the continuity and development of communications and the internet provided by submarine cables within Yemen’s territorial waters.”
