Yemen shoots down a MQ-9 Reaper drone for the fourth time in several months

The Yemeni Armed Forces in Sana’a shot down an American MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on Thursday evening in the skies of Marib province.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The wreckage of the drone fell in areas under the control of the coalition, and activists shared photos of the wreckage after talking about a violent explosion that occurred in the air.

Security authorities in Marib burned the wreckage, and observers speculate that they did so due to American instructions to prevent the wreckage from falling into the wrong hands.

This marks the fourth time since last November that an American MQ-9 drone has been shot down, which is considered a pride of American fighter reconnaissance aircraft.

The value of the drone is estimated at around 32 million dollars.
