“Slow death” Threaten Gaza’s patients

Officials in the Palestinian medical sector confirmed that patients in the Gaza Strip face slow death as medicines run out in various hospitals in the Gaza Strip, due to Israel’s continued policy of closing the crossings, specifically the Rafah crossing, which was intended for the entry of medical aid and was closed with the ongoing military operation in the city.

They explained that due to the ongoing war on Gaza, thousands of patients inside the Gaza Strip have been prevented from traveling abroad for treatment, especially the critically ill and injured, which has caused serious complications for them and complicated their medical conditions.

Khalil al-Dakran, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said that “the conditions of the sick and injured in the Gaza Strip are very difficult, stressing the need for the intervention of international medical institutions in order to prevent a medical catastrophe in Gaza.
