A Yemeni hint at the content of the military statement

The Ansar Allah leader, Mohammad Al-Bukhaiti, revealed on Monday part of the content of an upcoming military statement by the Yemeni forces, coinciding with a state of anticipation for its announcement.

Al-Bukhaiti indicated in a tweet on his official social media page that the statement will define the features of the next phase.

The official spokesman for the Yemeni forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, had confirmed in a morning tweet about an expected statement in the coming hours.

The statement comes as the second day of the Gaza agreement enters into force.

It is not clear whether the statement will include details of new naval operations or will determine the details of the next phase, but Al-Bukhaiti’s tweet suggests that it will reveal the status of Yemeni operations in the coming period.

Yemen had announced its commitment to the Gaza agreement after more than a year of ground and naval support operations.

International and regional parties are still awaiting an official announcement from Sana’a regarding the nature of the naval operations, especially with the continued confrontations in the Red Sea and speculations about military mobilizations for a new escalation.
