The government media office in Gaza said that the Zionist enemy cut off the power supply to the southern desalination plant, indicating that the cut came hours after the Zionist energy minister announced preventing the supply of electricity to the Gaza Strip.
The head of the media office, Salameh Maarouf, explained that the South Station is the only station that currently fed with electricity by the enemy, adding that the enemy has completely cut off electricity to the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
He stressed that the enemy’s decisions “reflect the criminal mentality controlling it, and called on the international community and UN organizations to intervene urgently to stop the crime of siege and pressure to ensure the introduction of all the needs of the Gaza Strip, and to find sustainable solutions to the electricity crisis.”
