The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip today condemned the Israeli occupation’s practices targeting civilians, stressing that it has not only used lethal weapons but is also starving more than two million people in the Strip, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
The Ministry indicated that children are facing double suffering, with the number of martyrs exceeding 16,000, while child deaths due to malnutrition have risen to 57.
The Ministry explained that the occupation is depriving children and pregnant women of basic medical care and preventing the entry of polio vaccines, threatening efforts to combat the disease.
It also confirmed that children in the Gaza Strip have become homeless and are living in catastrophic conditions in displacement sites, amid a lack of food and medical security.
The Ministry called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop these violations and provide the necessary humanitarian support to the population of the Gaza Strip, especially children and the most vulnerable groups.
