Paltel announces disruption of internet, telecommunications services in Gaza

Palestinian Telecommunications Company announced on Saturday a new outage of fixed internet and landline services in the Gaza Strip and northern Gaza Strip governorates.

The company explained in a statement that the outage was the result of targeting one of the main routes feeding the region due to the ongoing Israeli aggression and the exhaustion of alternative technical solutions to connect the northern governorates of the Gaza Strip.

The company warned that the network will lose its ability to operate, meaning a complete disruption of services, if it continues to be targeted.

“Our crews have been working continuously for more than 48 hours to repair the recent malfunctions, but the continued targeting of routes in many areas is hindering this,” the company added.
