The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that 20 hospitals were forced out of service in the Gaza Strip and North Governorates due to the Israeli aggression, while eight hospitals are partially operating under dangerous conditions that threaten the lives of patients and medical staff.
The ministry explained, via its Telegram channel on Saturday, that the hospitals that have completely or partially ceased operations include: Al-Rantisi Hospital, Al-Oyoun Hospital, Kamal Adwan Hospital, Al-Indonesian Hospital, Beit Hanoun Hospital, Al-Durra Hospital, Haifa Hospital, Al-Yaman Al-Saeed Hospital, Al-Sadaqa Al-Turki Hospital, Psychiatric Hospital, Al-Awda Hospital – Jabalia, Hamad Hospital for Rehabilitation, Al-Karama Hospital, Saint John Hospital, Muslim Hospital, Al-Oyoun Hospital, Mahdi Hospital for Childbirth, Al-Hayat Hospital, Al-Field Hospital for Jordanian Children – Gaza, and Al-Quds Hospital – Gaza.
The ministry added that the hospitals that are still partially operating but are at risk in the two governorates are: Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Friends of the Patient Hospital, Public Service Hospital, Al-Sahaba Hospital, Al-Ahli Al-Arabi Hospital, Al-Wafa Hospital for Rehabilitation, Al-Helou Hospital, and the Red Crescent Hospital – Al-Saraya Hospital.
In a statement, the Gaza Center for Human Rights expressed deep concern over the escalating systematic Israeli attacks on hospitals and health facilities in Gaza, describing this escalation as a consistent pattern aimed at dismantling the health system and preventing any ability to save lives, as part of an ongoing policy of genocide.
The center noted that most operating hospitals are completely or partially out of service, including the Palestine Red Crescent Society’s Al-Quds Hospital in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, which is suffering from a tight siege that prevents patients and medical staff from accessing the hospital, exacerbating the risks to their lives.
It warned that the shortage of blood units and blood products, along with the depletion of fuel, threatens to shut down vital departments within a few days, threatening a massive humanitarian catastrophe.
The center emphasized that the continuation of this pattern of aggression aims to destroy the health system as a tool of genocide, forcing hundreds of thousands of residents to leave the city by depriving them of the last resort represented by hospitals.
