The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said on Sunday that Israel had killed 35 Palestinians and wounded 146 others since the ceasefire on October 11. The Ministry also announced that it had received the bodies of 15 detained Palestinians, bringing the total number of bodies received to 150.
The Ministry stated in its statement that medical teams “recovered 414 bodies of Palestinians after the withdrawal of Israeli forces.” It explained that in the past 24 hours, 18 bodies arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals, including 10 who were recovered, 8 who were killed by Israeli forces, and 3 who were injured. A number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, where ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them at this time.
The Ministry noted that some of the bodies received by the Red Cross showed signs of abuse and beatings, including handcuffs and blindfolds. It noted that it has so far identified 25 bodies through their families.
The death toll from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 68,159 Palestinians, while the number of injuries has reached 170,203 since October 7, 2023.
