Sana’a Foreign Ministry sends an urgent message to the UN envoy

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affiliated with the Sana’a government reported on Thursday that it had delivered a message to the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, demanding urgent steps to resolve the humanitarian file and implement the roadmap.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

This came during a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdul Wahab Abu Ras, and the Deputy Director of the Office of the UN Envoy, Mohammed Abu Jajah, where a “message addressed to Grundberg regarding the necessary steps to resolve the humanitarian file and the role expected of the Envoy in this regard” was delivered.

Official media in Sana’a quoted Abu Ras as emphasizing “the necessity for the UN Envoy to undertake his role in pushing the peace process forward and implementing the roadmap without delay, prioritizing the humanitarian obligations,” pointing out that “the time has come to achieve this, and there is no longer any justification for delay or procrastination.”

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Sana’a affirmed their support for “the Envoy’s endeavors aimed at ending the aggression and siege imposed on Yemen,” expressing “keenness to achieve a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people.”
