The UAE blew the starting whistle for its new battle in Yemen on Tuesday.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Advisor to the UAE President, Abdulkhaleq Abdullah, confirmed his country’s support for those he described as “our brothers in South Arabia,” in a reference to the demands of the Southern Transitional Council for the secession of southern Yemen.
Abdullah wrote a tweet for the first time containing implications of igniting the battle.
Abdullah stated that his country has fulfilled its duty towards “South Arabia,” which was the name of the state of South Yemen before unification.
Abdallah’s tweet was considered a justification and legitimization for an upcoming battle aimed at expanding the control of the separatist factions in southern Yemen.
The tweet coincided with Emirati moves to explode the situation in Hadhramaut, the last Yemeni region that its followers have been unable to reach due to Saudi influence there.
Tribal sources in Hadhramaut spoke of Abu Dhabi mobilizing foreign mercenaries from the Caribbean and Africa to Hadhramaut.
The tweet confirms Abu Dhabi’s decision to settle the battle for Hadhramaut within a framework aimed at extending the influence of its factions in southern Yemen all the way to the far strategic east.
