The US Air Force confirms depletion of MQ-9 drones, and the Pentagon cancels deployment of American forces to Poland

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

American military statements and Western media reports have revealed increasing indicators of a state of attrition facing American forces, coinciding with sudden decisions to rearrange their military deployment in Europe and reduce their aerial capabilities related to reconnaissance and attack drones.

The Vice Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, Lieutenant General David Tabor, stated that the US Air Force’s “MQ-9” fleet has declined to only about 135 aircraft, expressing Washington’s concern over the continued depletion of this type of aircraft and affirming that the US military is currently working to repurchase as many “MQ-9” aircraft as possible to compensate for the growing shortage.

In this context, the Wall Street Journal quoted American officials as saying that the Pentagon abruptly canceled a plan to deploy an American armored brigade to Poland as part of a trend to reduce American forces deployed in Europe, a step reflecting shifts in American military strategy amid escalating military challenges and pressures on the US military on more than one front.
