An Arab country prepares to host the largest confrontation between Yemen and the Israeli occupation

The confrontations between Yemen and the Israeli occupation are returning to the forefront of the Middle East scene as the entity hints at exploding the situation. But what raises Israel’s fears in Yemen, which is thousands of kilometers away?

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

For the second consecutive day, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz hasn’t stopped mentioning the term “Houthis” in the context of his talk about developments in the region. In parallel, Hebrew media are scattering numerous stories and narratives about a ground invasion or an aerial attack by the Ansar Allah movement.

Although confrontations between Yemen and the occupation have stopped with the cessation of the American-Israeli aggression on Islamic and Arab countries, starting from Gaza to Iran through Lebanon, in addition to Yemen establishing the rule of stopping the aggression and siege on those countries in exchange for stopping the siege and attacks on the occupation, there are several dimensions that the occupation fears will become a bitter reality for it in the region in the future.

First, Yemen has become outside any regional agreements related to ending the war, whether in Iran, Lebanon, or even Gaza. When America announced a unilateral truce with Yemen, it chose to save its fleets that were nearly sinking and left the occupation to face its fate. To avoid finding itself in a dilemma in the future, the occupation might try to explode the situation there in order to reach an agreement that would protect it in the future from any Yemeni attacks, which is not on the table yet.

Second, it relates to its expansionist ambitions in the region, as it realizes that Sana’a has set its sights on its movements in the Somaliland region on the African side of Bab Al-Mandeb. Its leaders have repeatedly sent clear messages to the Somali leadership in the region, the latest of which was on the tongue of the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, and they were clear that any threat to Yemen’s security could be met with unforeseen consequences.

What raises Israeli concern even more is not only the possibility of renewed attacks but also the Yemeni arrangements to surprise its bases and forces in Somaliland, where they are mobilizing by land and sea. It is feared that this area calling for secession will be an open battlefield by land, sea, and air, and another graveyard for its ambitions in Bab Al-Mandeb and the entire region.

Yemeni attacks on the occupation may have stopped due to regional and international agreements, but what is certain is that the decisive Yemeni blow to the occupation hasn’t yet come. It realizes that Yemen is preparing a surprise that it can’t handle in the future, so it is trying to stir the issue in the hope that regional or international parties will intervene to find an agreement or a diplomatic path that protects its encroachment in the region.
