Al-Mashat: The Saudi regime’s siege proves its lack of intent for peace… And we have the full right to end it

The “head of the Supreme Political Council” in Sana’a, Mahdi Al-Mashat, considered that the behavior of the Saudi regime in the recent period and its insistence on continuing the siege of the Yemeni people proves decisively “that it has no intention of establishing peace at all.”

Al-Mashat affirmed in a statement that Sana’a has exhausted all possible peace efforts over the past years, stressing that “Yemen has the full right to take whatever measures we see fit to end the siege on our great people.”

The “head of the Supreme Political Council” considered that “no one in this world has the right to legitimize the unjust siege by the Al Saud regime on our Yemeni people,” describing attempts to legitimize the siege as being within the framework of “paid propaganda.”

In this context, Al-Mashat launched an attack on entities that issue statements condemning Yemen’s position and justifying the siege, saying that “any statements issued to legitimize the siege and condemn Yemen’s position are drafted in one formula and from one room, and are paid for.”

Al-Mashat concluded his statements by directing a message to those who adopt these condemnations, calling on them to “ask the Al Saud regime to apply the measures it imposes on Yemen to their own countries,” indicating Sana’a’s rejection of foreign interventions and attempts to impose dictates on it.

Al-Mashat’s statements came after the Yemeni forces announced this afternoon the imposition of a naval navigation ban on Saudi Arabia in response to the continued siege on Yemen, according to the “siege-for-siege” rule.
