Iranian Revolutionary Guard: $20 billion in losses for American forces in the region over two weeks

The spokesman for the Revolutionary Guard, Brigadier General Hossein Mohbi, stated on Sunday that the value of damage to American military equipment and infrastructure in the region during the period from July 17 to 31 is estimated at approximately $20 billion.

Mohbi explained in a statement to Tasnim news agency that missile defense systems and radars accounted for the largest share of the losses, pointing to the destruction of 4 Patriot defense complexes and 6 major radars, with a replacement value estimated at about $5.3 billion.

He added that aerial losses included two F-15 fighter jets, a P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, a C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft, and 8 KC-46 refueling aircraft, in addition to 4 heavy helicopters, with a total value exceeding $2.8 billion.

He indicated that the operations also resulted in the destruction of 17 reconnaissance and combat drones, including 8 that had not yet entered service, with an estimated value of about $550 million, in addition to 6 maintenance hangars dedicated to MQ-9 aircraft, the construction and equipping cost of each ranging between 10 and 15 million dollars, based on Pentagon budget documents and official arms contracts.
