Al-Ajri: Saudi Arabia has reneged on the roadmap, and lifting the siege and paying salaries are non-negotiable rights

A member of the Sana’a negotiating delegation, Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, accused the Saudi regime on Monday of reneging on the roadmap understandings reached between it and Sana’a, foremost among them lifting the siege and paying salaries, which are fundamental rights of the Yemeni people that cannot be compromised.

Al-Ajri said in a post on the “X” platform that “lifting the siege on ports and airports and paying salaries were among the foremost agreed-upon items with Riyadh, explaining that their implementation was temporarily postponed after Yemen’s participation in the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ battle.”

He affirmed that Saudi Arabia’s denial of these commitments constitutes a reneging on what it had previously agreed to, indicating that Saudi Arabia’s position is based on miscalculations and a failed bet on Yemen emerging from events unable to demand its rights.

Sana’a had imposed a new equation titled “siege with siege” after Saudi Arabia violated the de-escalation phase and launched raids on Sana’a International Airport in mid-July, by imposing a naval blockade on Saudi navigation in Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea.
