The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2nd has risen to 4,332, with 12,236 wounded. The ministry explained that this toll reflects the scale of human losses resulting from the Israeli attacks that targeted several areas across the country. It noted that hospitals and health centers continue to receive the injured and provide them with medical care, despite the immense pressure on the health sector.
The ministry added that medical teams and ambulance crews are continuing to perform their duties in the affected areas, despite the damage inflicted on infrastructure, facilities, and essential services as a result of the ongoing escalation.
These figures come amidst continued military tension in Lebanon, with warnings of a worsening humanitarian situation and persistent calls for the protection of civilians and health facilities, as well as ensuring the safety of medical and ambulance personnel.
