Bin Habtoor: Targeting the Saudi ship confirms the failure of attempts to bypass the siege-for-siege equation

A member of the Supreme Political Council of Sana’a, Abdulaziz Bin Habtoor, affirmed on Wednesday that the operation announced by their forces targeting a Saudi ship north of Yanbu reflects a development in the naval confrontation equation, indicating that Saudi Arabia’s attempt to bypass the “siege-for-siege” equation will not succeed.

Bin Habtoor said in a statement to Saba news agency that the operation has proven that the bet on changing ship routes or circumventing the measures announced by the revolutionary, political, and military leadership “is no longer fruitful,” affirming that what was once seen as a safe way out is no longer so.

He added that the message is clear: attempts to bypass the “siege-for-siege” equation by changing navigation lines or seeking geographical alternatives will not succeed, indicating that the Yemeni Armed Forces are imposing their military and security equations according to the field reality.

Bin Habtoor affirmed that the continuation of escalation is a direct result of the continued siege and restrictions imposed on Yemen, calling on Saudi Arabia to address the roots of the political and humanitarian crisis as the shortest path to ensure navigation security.

Sana’a forces had announced the targeting of a Saudi ship in the northern Red Sea, indicating the expansion of the blockade on Saudi navigation to include the northern Red Sea after their operations were confined to its south, meaning the prevention of Saudi oil exports through the Suez Canal.
