Maritime monitoring company: Navigation in Bab Al-Mandeb is stable except for Saudi ships

The maritime intelligence company “Lloyd’s List” confirmed on Friday that navigation through the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait is relatively stable, despite the continued naval blockade on Saudi-linked navigation.

Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

According to the company’s data, 223 transits were recorded for ships with their Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) operational during the period from August 10 to 16, an indicator of the continued movement of international navigation through the strait.

The company indicated that a number of ship owners and operators are avoiding docking at Saudi ports on the Red Sea, while ship movement in some ports, including Yanbu, is characterized by caution and concealment, through turning off AIS systems before leaving the area towards the Suez Canal.

The company confirmed that insurance coverage remains available for non-Saudi-linked ships, while some operators continue to avoid Saudi ports on the Red Sea, amid continued concerns related to the Kingdom’s ships due to their subjection to the comprehensive naval blockade imposed by Sana’a, within its “siege-for-siege” equation.
