Twenty-two people were killed and injured in an American airstrike that targeted the city of Sirik in Hormozgan province in southern Iran, with a local official statement indicating that the bombing hit a wedding ceremony, an incident that killed two and injured 20.

International agencies quoted the Iranian Red Crescent as saying that the attack resulted in the martyrdom of two people and the injury of 20 others, while the deputy governor of Hormozgan confirmed that the wedding ceremony was the target of the raid.
