Israeli bombings and shelling target southern Lebanon

The Israeli occupation army continues its aggression against villages and towns in southern Lebanon, carrying out a series of bombings at dawn on Saturday, coinciding with artillery shelling and airstrikes.

Lebanese media reported that the artillery shelling targeted Wadi al-Salouqi, the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, and Wadi al-Hujair, while later reports indicated that the town of Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon was also targeted.

In another development, the occupation army carried out a bombing in the town of al-Mansouri, but the extent of the damage or casualties resulting from these operations remains unclear.

Southern Lebanon is witnessing a continuous Israeli escalation, with ongoing artillery and airstrikes targeting border villages and towns, amid warnings of a widening conflict and its impact on civilians.

This escalation comes despite the framework agreement signed by Beirut and Tel Aviv on June 26, under US auspices, which stipulates a gradual Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army.
