An Israeli Report: Sana’a’s Advance on the Western Coast Redraws Regional Security and Puts the “American Umbrella” to the Test

An analytical report from Orientalist and Hebrew intelligence circles, published by the “Epoch” platform, revealed that the accelerating field advance of Sana’a forces (Ansar Allah) on the western coast and around Bab Al-Mandeb has exposed the limits and inadequacy of the “American security umbrella” in the region, confusing the regional system and forcing Gulf countries to search for multi-polar security strategies.

The report explained that recent developments have proven the inadequacy of military superiority and conventional armament in the face of decentralized formations possessing low-cost ballistic weapons and drones.

It noted that Washington sent practical messages to Riyadh indicating its unwillingness to engage in a direct military confrontation, in parallel with direct negotiation contracts between American officials and Sana’a in Muscat to secure the movement of American ships, which the report considered a strategic achievement for Sana’a in imposing the deterrence equation.

The source added that this reality pushed Riyadh to search for “additional security layers” that go beyond total reliance on the US, by diversifying alliances with regional powers such as arranging relations with Turkey and Pakistan, maintaining Omani channels, in addition to considering frameworks for intelligence cooperation with “Tel Aviv” without abandoning the alliance.
