Saudi Arabia Speaks of a Wide-Scale Yemeni Attack

Saudi Arabia revealed on Thursday that it was subjected to the widest Yemeni aerial attack.

The official spokesman for the coalition, Turki Al-Maliki, stated in a release that the attack was carried out with missiles and drones and targeted the cities of Yanbu and Taif.

Yanbu hosts one of the most important Saudi oil export ports, known as the “East-West pipeline.”

Although Yanbu and Taif have been subjected to a series of Yemeni attacks in recent weeks, the latest operation comes as Saudi Arabia was preparing to resume oil exports through Yanbu port for the first time since its closure following an aerial attack that targeted its center in Medina several weeks ago.

The new attack aims, according to experts, to disrupt the main port on the Red Sea.
