Total Victims of Saudi Targeting of Yemeni Markets Since the Start of the War

The “Eye of Humanity for Rights and Development Center” condemned the crime committed by the Saudi regime by targeting commercial shops in Taiz’s central market located at Mafraq Mawiyah in Al-Ta’iziyah District, describing the bombing as a new humanitarian setback that sheds light on the targeting of civilian objects.

The Center affirmed in a statement that “the fall of dozens of martyrs and wounded in a crowded commercial market reveals the extent of the Saudi enemy’s disregard and blatant recklessness toward civilian lives,” noting that “this crime comes within the cumulative record of victims of targeting markets and civilian objects that has been documented since the start of the aggression on Yemen.”

“Eye of Humanity for Rights” revealed that the total victims of targeting markets and commercial centers since the beginning of the war stands at “5,254 victims, including 2,139 martyrs, among them 496 children, and 3,115 wounded, among them 407 children.”

The rights center stressed that “the blood of the martyrs will not be mere numbers, and the crimes will not turn into mere statistics, but will remain irrefutable evidence documenting the extent of Saudi criminality against Yemeni civilians and civilian facilities and objects.”
