Schools in southern Lebanon continue to educate children despite conflict and displacement

The UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Lebanon, Imran Riza, said he met with teachers and school principals in various parts of southern Lebanon who are determined to continue educating children despite the conflict and displacement.

In a post on the X platform Monday evening, marking World Teachers’ Day, Riza added that these teachers are preserving what conflict easily steals: stability and hope.

He stressed that they need more than just thanks; they need protection and support.
