Disruption of Riyadh Airport for the Sixth Time Within Less Than 48 Hours and Chaos in Saudi Arabia’s Airspace

The Flightradar24 platform showed the suspension of air navigation movement at Riyadh Airport for the sixth time within less than 48 hours, thus recording the airport the second place in the record of the most disrupted airports in the world.

According to the Flightradar24 statistic, 385 flights were delayed yesterday, Tuesday, and 31 flights were canceled, while during the first hours of Wednesday, navigation was suspended twice consecutively, 45 flights have been delayed so far, and 7 flights were canceled.

King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah recorded a similar disruption, to be classified as well among the five most disrupted airports in the world, with the delay of 129 flights and the cancellation of 7 flights.

Sana’a had warned on Monday airlines against using Saudi airspace as it has become airspace open to military operations, with the exception of the airspace of Mecca and Medina.
