The activist and military analyst, Ali Al-Nasi, revealed on Tuesday that about 30 soldiers of the Saudi-backed forces fell into captivity in the Al-Yatmah area of Al-Jawf Governorate, after being deceived by misleading news from the media of the Presidential government and the Saudi channels.
Exclusive Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
According to Al-Nasi, in a post via “Facebook,” “media outlets affiliated with the Presidential government published news about the control of the entire Al-Yatmah area and its surroundings and the advance toward the city of Al-Hazm, before it turned out that this information was incorrect.”
He added that “the soldiers of the Saudi-backed forces arrived in Al-Yatmah on the basis that the area had come under the control of their forces, before the Sana’a forces besieged them and managed to capture them.”
Al-Nasi explained: “At that moment only did the 30 soldiers know the bitter truth, and that the advances are just talk in the media.”
He noted the occurrence of similar incidents in previous stages of the war, mentioning among them “the capture of an officer on the Mahliyah front in Marib Governorate in 2019, following the circulation of news about achieving a field advance.”
