The Center said in a statement conveyed by the Yemeni News Agency “Saba” that an airstrike targeted an inhabited house in a residential neighborhood in the Bab Sha’oub area in Sana’a, which led to the martyrdom of a child and the wounding of six citizens, including a woman and a child, in addition to inflicting damage on the house and the neighboring houses.

It added that Al-Jil Al-Jadid School in Al-Hazah isolation, in Al-Urmah village in Sabr Al-Mawadim District in Taiz Governorate, was subjected to targeting, which caused the destruction of parts of its building and its going out of service, and depriving students of continuing education in it.

The Center considered that targeting homes and educational facilities represents a violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, holding Saudi Arabia legally and criminally responsible for the two attacks and their repercussions.

It called on the office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Sana’a and the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” to conduct a field visit to the two sites and document the damages and victims, and also demanded that the UN and the Security Council move to protect civilians and educational facilities and guarantee accountability for those responsible for these violations.
