The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has caused the deaths of several Palestinians after the occupation army targeted densely populated displacement areas and others under its control behind the ‘yellow line.’ This came while medical and human rights warnings continued about the danger of attacks and the Israeli siege on the lives of residents and the overall humanitarian situation in the Strip. The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that hospitals in the area received 5 martyrs and 18 injuries in the past 24 hours due to ongoing Israeli attacks. It stated that the total number of victims since the start of the ceasefire reached 1,493 martyrs and 5,299 injuries, in addition to the retrieval of 836 martyrs, while the toll of the genocide war since October 7, 2023, rose to 74,382 martyrs and 175,416 injuries. Both Ezzedine Barhoum (22 years old) and Salah Eddin Aqel (29 years old) were martyred following a bombing that targeted an area near the Muawiya Mosque in the Mawaiisi Rafah area in southern Gaza. Citizens in several areas of Khan Yunis reported a heavy presence of Israeli reconnaissance aircraft in various forms, including fighter jets.
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has once again warned about the danger of threats from Israeli Security Minister Yisrael Katz to assassinate its political bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya.
Dr. Basem Naeem, a member of the political bureau, tweeted on X saying, ‘We take the war criminal Israel Katz’s threat to assassinate the movement’s leader very seriously.’
On a humanitarian level, the Ministry of Health in Gaza warned about the danger of delays and slowdowns in evacuating patients for treatment abroad, after the occupation authorities halted evacuation operations last week.
In the occupied West Bank, settlers’ attacks on Palestinians and olive pickers continued.
In this context, four soldiers from the Israeli Military Intelligence unit (Aman) admitted to receiving orders to drop ‘heavy bombs’ on buildings inhabited in the Gaza Strip without evacuating them, which killed and injured hundreds of Palestinians. The soldiers gave their testimonies to Haaretz newspaper in a report published on Monday.
