Saudi Arabia has now confirmed the start of the Yemeni attack on the capital, Riyadh. This comes a few minutes after a warning by the spokesman for the Yemeni forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree.
Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The coalition spokesman, Turki Al-Maliki, reported in a statement of his that the Saudi capital was subjected to a new attack. Al-Maliki claimed the interception of 3 drones, in an indication that the attack was large.
It has not yet become clear whether the Yemeni operation is within the warnings to Saudi Arabia or whether the Yemeni preemptive attack on Riyadh has actually begun.
The spokesman for the Yemeni forces had warned Saudi Arabia against the consequences of any new targeting of the capital, Sana’a, threatening a painful and harsh response in Riyadh.
The successive developments indicate that the Saudi capital is heading to become an open theater of operations with Saudi Arabia’s decision to escalate in Yemen.
