The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces in Sana’a, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced the downing of an armed reconnaissance aircraft of the “Karayel” type belonging to the Saudi forces, while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Hajjah Governorate.
Sana’a — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Brigadier General Saree said in a post on Telegram that the Armed Forces managed, thanks to Allah and His assistance, to down the aircraft using an appropriate weapon.
He explained that this is the fourth aircraft of the same type to be downed since the start of the latest escalation, and the seventh since its entry into Yemeni airspace.
Sana’a had earlier announced the downing of an Apache combat helicopter belonging to the Saudi forces off Najran, using an appropriate weapon, while it was carrying out hostile acts toward positions of the Armed Forces in the border areas.
Sana’a also announced the downing of combat drones of the “Wing Loong 2” type in the airspace of several governorates, along with the downing of an “F-15” fighter jet and the damaging of another “Typhoon” fighter jet in Yemeni airspace.
