Fortified Tunnels and an Underground Leadership Structure Linked to Riyadh… Dismantling the Secret Structure of the Saudi “Murrah” Base in Shabwah

In a qualitative intelligence operation revealing the hidden aspects of the Saudi military presence, Al-Masirah channel broadcast exclusive scenes and information documenting the details of a secret and fortified underground Saudi military base in Shabwah Governorate, in a security breach that exposes the extent of Riyadh’s military positioning and control in the governorates under its control with the forces it funds.

Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The scenes showed that the newly established base is located inside the strategic “Murrah Camp” located between the districts of Ataq and Nisab in Shabwah Governorate, which extends over an area exceeding four square kilometers, and represents one of the most prominent centers for managing the Saudi forces and their factions in Shabwah and parts of Marib Governorate.

The field and intelligence data revealed that the base includes hidden underground military facilities interconnected in parts by a complex network of tunnels, in addition to barracks and logistical facilities, aircraft hangars, and an air landing pad that was recently established. The base also includes fortified depots for weapons and ammunition, advanced monitoring and jamming systems, and reconnaissance aircraft, which confirms the transformation of “Murrah Camp” into an integrated and multi-functional military base.

The special scenes documented a celebration by Saudi officers and soldiers inside the base of the so-called “Saudi National Day,” which was almost entirely limited to the Saudi leadership with a limited presence of Yemeni recruits.

The celebration revealed the identity of the most prominent leaders responsible for managing the base, foremost among them, Staff Brigadier General Muslih Al-Otaibi: the base commander and the Saudi military governor of the governorate, Brigadier General Sultan Al-Jash: the assistant base commander, and Saudi staff officers: representing the Saudi Ministry of Defense and assuming the sectors of planning, operations, intelligence, supply, and communications.

The scenes also monitored the participation of the so-called Fawzi Al-Saadi, described as the commander of the so-called “Shabwah Defense Forces,” alongside the Saudi leadership, which reveals the nature of the direct connection and subordination of the local formations.

According to the special information, the strength of the Saudi force present at the base reaches about 150 officers and soldiers, subject to a joint command and operations system linked to the operations center in Sharurah, which in turn is linked to a new command system in the Saudi Ministry of Defense in Riyadh led by the officer Fahd Al-Salman.

This advanced strategic base is considered one of several military bases controlled by Saudi Arabia in the areas under its control in the governorates of Marib, Aden, and the rest of the southern regions, within the framework of its endeavors to impose direct field control.
