Al-Houthi Deny Preventing Tarawih Prayer in Yemen

Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC), the highest ruling authority in Sana’a, denied that the Sana’a authorities had banned Tarawih prayers.

Al-Houthi, called on the Al-Azhar Center in Egypt to condemn the siege imposed by the Saudi-led coalition on the Yemeni people.

“Al-Azhar has to condemn the (US-British-Saudi-Emirati aggression) and siege on Yemen as it did to denounce propaganda that claims that Sana’a authorities preventing Tarawih prayer in Yemen.” Al-Houthi said.

Al-Azhar had been led by coalition media outlets’ propaganda that the authority in Sana’a prevented the holding of Tarawih prayers in mosques by force of arms, which caused mockery among activists on social media due to Al-Azhar’s statement to condemn the propaganda.
