Marib Tribes Close Oil Wells in Safer

Marib tribes closed on Wednesday a number of oil wells in Safer area in the province, sources familiar with the matter said.

The sources indicated that al-Damashiqa tribes, led by Sheikh Nasser bin Aushan, closed the wells, in protest against the Saudi-led coalition leaders’ failure to pay the debts of Al-Alam Front’s leader, Nimran bin Nasser bin Aushan, who was killed by the fire of the Yemeni army.

The sources attributed that the leaders of the coalition and the Ministry of Defense in the “Saudi-exiled Hadi government” delayed paying the debt of the leader bin Aushan.

The Damashiqa tribes stopped operating the oil fields through issuing notices to workers to stop the work in the field until achieving their demands.
